Prosper Poorly

children & chaos
fill up my dreams
like a fleet of rusted bicycles
in a submersible city
striped with green
& chased by the loneliness of insomnia

to howl in the winds of another wet summer
under turbulent clouds
pushing my heart into the mud
& the storms
oh, the storms!
my only reprieve from
the pungent sadness of humidity

don’t stop the rain
don’t stop the rain

you illuminate the broken-tooth skyline
of my midnight metropolis
insinuated with my sleep &
never to forget the children & chaos
riding the rails to
fill up my dreams
with tempests of inspiration

don’t stop the rain
don’t stop the rain

never stop the rain

Incantation in Blue With Tricks A’Plenty

let slip the cats of infinite galaxies
& wash down the fruits of our sleep
fuse the green wires that run through our veins &
bring on the magic!

too frequent the extravagant topiary
we titans of nanoscopic bursts
crash the cross we cannot bear to burn &
bring on the wonder!

if you seek to sneak a peek over the wall
& beyond the spaces between our worlds
to whirl across your most splendid teeth &
bring on the magic!

& so it begins anew
thus twicely never unknown completely forever
if you dare to desire a feverish endeavor then
bring on the wonder!

…& wonder no more about the magic we’ve decanted…
